Finished - 18mm Thick Each board goes through quality control where each one is individually inspected. Then to pre-finishing where yet another automated process sprays lacquer on to ALL edges of the board totally sealing it to keep all moisture out. We also offer a selection of different lacquers and finishes. Finally a catalytic infra red drying system dries any chosen finish and expels any odour quickly and efficiently. With some suppliers this process is carried out on installation, we prefer any odour to be in our factory - not in your home. As the lacquer we use is oil based, it penetrates into the wood. This means the lacquer won't chip, if something hard and heavy is dropped on the flooring and causes a dent it can simply be sanded or planed to restore it back to pristine condition. If the flooring is severely scratched our 2 part polish will repair it. Conventional U.V. lacquer is almost impossible to repair. Conventional hardwood flooring manufacture results in sharp edges from the lacquering process, this necessitates the application of a visible 'V' groove to eliminate the edges. Because we use a unique oil based lacquering process we do not have to cut "v" grooves in our flooring, so no dust traps.
