At that time hardwood flooring was beginning to be fashionable and I was looking for some flooring myself. I put the two together and started to look into hardwood flooring production.
We began by using contract machinists but weren't happy as we couldn't control the quality, it was also a logistical nightmare. As a result we invested in standard industry machinery to bring the process in house. it was then that we really saw the problems and set about solving them, even though the industry said it couldn't be done."
